Cogongrass
Imperata cylindrica

Cogongrass is an herbaceous, perennial, rhizomatous grass. Somewhat variable in appearance ranging in height from 1 to 4 feet. It produces long, fluffy-white panicles (seed heads). Thriving in chronically disturbed areas, it severely impacts both natural and agricultural ecosystems.
